2023 Supplements Buyers Guide

2023 Supplements Buyers Guide

2023 Supplement Buyers Guide

To start this 2023 buyers guide, we need to define your goal for 2023. If your goal is to lose weight, we have a list of things to do and supplements to look for. If you're looking to put on muscle and gain weight, as you can imagine, your regimen will look completely different. To start this buyer guide off, we will talk about all the best brands creating the most potent formulas and the highest quality products. No more basic commercial brands. We are deep diving into the best of the best at what they do. The companies that focus on quality and purity over profits. The brands that will provide you with the results you're looking for. These brands will change your life.

Supplements for Weight Loss

Shredabull 2.0 Fatburner Melbourne Florida

The key to weight loss is not supplements. But they can help! First, we will need to get that diet in check if you want to lose weight. We have a Macro calculator to find out exactly how many calories, Proteins, Carbohydrates, and fats you should be consuming daily. I’ll link that here Macro Calculator after we figure out your macronutrients its time for training. Now your workouts & training for weight loss should look like 15 Minutes of Cardio 4-5 times a week and weight training 4-5 times a week with rep ranges of 12-15 reps. This is a very generalized idea of what you could do. Each and everyone is different, so make it work for you.

As for supplements, you'll need a good isolate protein. Isolate proteins are significant because they are low in lactose, so they are easy on the stomach, in other words, easy to digest. Next up is a thermogenic or fat burner. This will help boost your metabolism and help you burn the fat quicker. Check out my Fat Burners paragraph below for my exact recommendation. I Last but not least, a great Multi-Vitamin to fill the gaps in micronutrients you may be missing while cutting calories. These are great for overall health and immunity.

Supplements for Weight Gain

The number one supplement for weight gain is creatine monohydrate. This is one of the most researched products on the market, and NO, it's not just water weight. Creatine Does hold water in the muscle, but it converts to ATP, creating more energy for you to push harder in the gym and build more muscle.

Next up, a great product would be an MRP shake. Meal Replacement Shake. These are higher in calories and contain more carbs, fat, and protein than a regular protein shake. This will keep you fuller longer and help you up your daily calorie intake. These are great also if you have a busy schedule and need to sneak a meal in at work or school.

Test boosters and muscle builders are also great options if you want to put on size. These are typically blends of herbs, minerals, and other ingredients to boost your natural testosterone levels. Higher testosterone levels will help you build muscle fast and keep fat off. So they are ideal in a bulk or growth phase.

Training and Eating For Weight Gain

As for your training, bring down the cardio but for health reasons, I still recommend doing 15 minutes of cardio 2-3 times a week to keep a healthy heart & lungs. For weight training, we want to be pushing heavier weights and keep the reps low. 8 to 10 reps are suggested in most cases for muscle-building workouts.

Eating is the most challenging part of the bulk. If you need to figure out your macronutrients, I linked the macro calculator above in the weight loss section. Once you figure out your macronutrients, you can really set your diet well. We will be adding more carbohydrates and fats to add size to a bulking phase of a diet. Be sure to base your macros on your lean body mass; a good way to figure that out is to find a local place to do a body composition scan, such as the in-body scan at Fitness Society in Melbourne, Florida. This will help you set your goal with accuracy. If you'd like to learn more on putting on muscle check out this great article.

Supplement Buyers Guide Part 2

Shop Small, Not Big

The times have changed; the big brands are no longer king. We are in an era where it's easier for people to connect and come together to design fantastic brands and top-quality supplements. We used only to have a few options Muscle Tech, Cellucor, GNC brand, and a few select others. Nothing against these brands, but it's clear they focus on high-dollar advertising and paying for the top athletes instead than focusing on the product. They need to be more innovative and create higher-quality products. However, they focus on massive ad campaigns to capture every possible person. Many brands are coming up right now that are producing top-quality supplements but just don’t have the capital to run massive campaigns so everyone and their mother knows about them. Let's jump into some up-and-comers that will be sure to mix up your old supplement regime.

Astro Flav

An excellent company built of dedicated people. They started in the retail store space with JSS Supplement stores in Bradley, New Jersey. They Shifted to the Astro Flav supplement brand after working in the stores for years and seeing a need for a higher-quality brand. Astroflav quickly has some of the best-tasting protein on the market.

Astro Flavs power-packed testosterone booster called elevated. If your looking to up your game in the gym and the bedroom elevated test booster is for you. They also recently released their One Scoop Only Pre-Workout Long lasting energy and endurance in the gym as well as excellent blood flow and pump. They have many other great products, but we have more to discuss here.

Astro Flav has many great products, but we have more to discuss here in the 2023 Supplements Buyers Guide.

Sweat Ethic

Sweat Ethic is another brand coming from the retail space. The owners have had many stores over the years and are primarily located in the midwest region. They are called Complete Health, so if your ever near one of their stores, stop in and check them out. Another brand with incredible flavors of protein: Frooty Cereal, Ice Cream Cookie, Peanut Butter Chocolate, and many more. They also have many combo products.

My personal favorite is the Omega Lean. This product covers all your omegas as well as CLA. Omega Lean is great for overall health and utilizing fats in the body. Another great seller is their Reds & Greens powder great for overall nutrients and health. Many women take them as a multivitamin as well as to aid in digestion. Read more about Sweat Ethic or check them out when you have a chance. Now we will jump into the products you should pick up in your 2023 supplement buyers guide.

 Alpha Supps

Alpha Supps is another company that routes from brick-and-mortar stores in Texas. Dealing in the stores and working with other companies, you quickly learn the quality brands and what the customers like, so it opens a great window for these guys to act and fill the customer's needs. Alphas Supps also has a protein powder dropping soon. These guys are dedicated to helping retailers across America grow.

They have an awesome testosterone booster called T-Rise that I will link here. It’s one of the top sellers here at Fitness Society. Power-packed with all the ingredients, you need to be feeling young again. Stronger in the gym and better in the bedroom. One of our best sellers from Alpha Supps is the Alpha Pre-Workout well-rounded formula with two forms of caffeine to make sure there is no crash in your workout. They also have seven great flavors for the alpha pre-workout.

Nutra Bio

The guys at Nutrabio aren't exactly new. Nutrabio has been around since 1996. Arguably the most transparent brand in the industry. What I love about the Nutrabio brand is its well-rounded and full-dosed supplements and various vitamins and minerals. For wellness products, this is my go-to brand.

Nutra Bio Pre-Workout

They have a very well round pre-workout that would be great for anyone. Few stimulants, and it is not overdosed like some new brands overdosing on the products for no reason. However, the Nutrabio Pre-Workout has excellent hydration and electrolytes that help with the pump and power output in the gym. As well as three different types of pump ingredients agmatine sulfate, citrulline, and nitrosigine Overall great brand with top-quality supplements and a must to have in the 2023 Supplements Buyers Guide.

2023 Supplement Buyer Guide Part.3

  The Health Supplements You Need

First and foremost, a multivitamin is once again an overlooked supplement. People believe they get all the vitamins they need in their daily diets. FALSE. 95% of Americans lack at least one key vitamin or mineral that your body requires to function. All our highly processed food in America is practically wiped out of all essential vitamins and minerals. It's referred to as empty calories. These are foods that have many calories but lack nutrients. Now we need to make sure we are getting a quality Multi-Vitamin.

So #1 in the 2023 Supplements Buyer Guide is Nurtabio Mens Multi Sport or Women Multi Sports Vitamins. These are a power-packed formula all in 4 caps. I suggest breaking the dose into two. Two capsules with breakfast and 2 Capsules with lunch. Vitamins can be found very cheap. However, Cheap is cheap, so you're getting what you pay for. We often here of the “ten dollars one a day men”. This is not the way guys send the extra few dollars for a quality product. Also with Nutrabio supplements they have check my supplements link so you can get all info on the production of your product.

Muscle Building Supplements

Creatine Monohydrate is great for muscle building and putting on some extra pounds quicker. The actual results come in time, like anything else. Creatine is stored in the muscle and then creates ATP. ATP is a form of energy for the body. This allows for more endurance and more power. Initially, you will see weight gain due to water retention. This isn’t a bad thing.

This is creatine at work and what it does best. Creatine can increase cellular hydration, better hydrating the muscles and cells and ramping up ATP production. After you saturate the muscles with creatine, you begin to see the real benefit of this fantastic supplement. You will begin to notice more endurance and strength in the gym, allowing you to handle and push more weights in your sets. So in time, you can build significantly more muscle mass using creatine. This will be my #2 Supplement in the 2023 Supplements buyers guide, and I’ll link that right here. So you can add some creatine to your supplement stack.

Protein For Muscle Building

Nutrabio Whey Protein

Besides the creatine monohydrate and all its tremendous benefits, of course, we have protein. Proteins are the building blocks of the human body. From top to bottom, we all need protein in our diet. As we age, protein is good for keeping the bones strong and preventing muscle loss. Are your parents and grandparents eating enough protein? 1 in 3 adults is deficient. Here are some easy ways to add more protein to your diet.

  • Add eggs to your breakfast.
  • Greek Yogurt
  • Protein Shakes
  • Almonds & Other Nuts
  • Eat Your Protein First

So, how much protein do you need for general health? It's said we need 0.8 per pound of body weight. If you're looking to put on muscle, you need to shoot for 1 to 1.5 grams per pound of body weight. So a great-tasting protein shake can help you reach your daily protein intake. My #3 2023 Supplement Buyers Guide product will have to be Sweat Ethic Whey’d Up. They have many incredible flavors and are very light on the stomach. Fitness Society Carries these in store and online as well. If it were me I would go right for the Peanut Butter Chocolate. Also they are Isolate proteins so they are low in lactose.

Testosterone Booster For Muscle Building

Testosterone Boosters are great for all men's overall health. Many Testosterone boosters come with estrogen control. Estrogen control will help you hold less water and keep a leaner physique. Products such as DIM are great for down-regulating estrogen. MACA Root, Fadogia Agrestis, Ashwaganha, and fenugreek are awesome testosterone boosting. Boosting your Testosterone will let you build muscle faster, shred water, and up the metabolism to burn more fat . I wouldn’t say a testosterone booster is a must, like Multi-Vitamins, Protein, and Creatine, but many people enjoy them, so I’ll link one below.

 Omegas

Sweat Ethic Omega Lean Fitness Society Melbourne Florida

are just as important as your Multi-Vitamins in all cases. Whether it be just general health or muscle building, the health of your heart and vital organs should always be the number one thought when making goals and shopping for supplements. You have three main Omegas.

  • ALA flex seed
  • EPA seafood
  • DHA seafood

ALA is an essential fatty acid because it can be found in food. Small amounts of ALA can be converted to EPA & DHA. Since EPA & DHA have significant bodily roles, people supplement them to ensure they get their daily dose. Here are three major benefits of Omega 3 Fatty Acids.

 Omegas & Mental Health

Studies have shown improvements in depression and many other mental health issues, such as ADHD and bipolar disorder. They believe this may be due to the anti-inflammatory properties of the Omega-3s

Brain Development and Function

DHA is mainly remarkable for brain development and cognitive function. Babies must get enough omegas in, and it's recommended that pregnant women get 8-12 ounces of EPA and DHA-rich foods a week. Later in life, Omegas can help protect against dementia. It shows all through life that omegas can significantly benefit the brain.

Cardio Vascular Health & Omegas

High triglycerides are a major risk factor for heart disease. Studies show that 2 servings of fatty fish per week or utilizing an omega supplement can lower triglycerides. It also reduces markers of inflammation that lead to major coronary events such as strokes and heart attacks.

So my 4th product in the 2023 Supplements Buyer Guide would be Omegas, A great brand for fish oils is Wiley Fish Oils they specialize in creating the best Fish Oil Products. One we suggest often is Omega Lean by Sweat Ethic. It has not only Fish Oils & Flax Seed Oil but also CLA and L-Carnitine.

Pre-Workout

Yolo Pre-Workout Melbourne Florida

Pre-workout is by far the most popular supplement on the market. Everyone loves getting beta-alanine tingles and the rush from the caffeine before the gym. And yes, it does help after a long day of work or school. Pre-workout is incredible, but I wouldn't say it's a necessity. It's a luxury product that, if you have the extra cash, then go ahead and get it, but let's focus on the health supplements first. They are cheaper and will make you live longer. Let's jump into a few great pre-workouts and different styles of pre-workout that you could complete in this 2023 supplements buyer guide!

Non-Stim Pre-Workout

Non-stim Pre-workout Melbourne Florida

Non-Stim Pre-workout is a blend of ingredients that increase blood flow. This helps what they call the pump in the gym. The tightness of the muscle during exercise. The pump is important because it pushes nutrients to the muscle. This will aid in recovery and make you look much bigger in the gym. The typical ingredients you would find in a non-stim pre-workout are.

  • Agmatine sulfate
  • Citrulline malate
  • S7
  • Hydro Prime
  • Glycerol
  • Nitrosigine

More recently, brands have been putting noo-tropics to aid in focus in the gym. These products are non-stimulant and just help cognitive function and focus in the gym. For noo-tropics, I recommend Lion's mane or Alpha GPC, both great ingredients.

High Stim Pre-Workout

High-stim pre-workouts consist of more than just caffeine. They usually have 350+ milligrams of caffeine. English walnut or Jugulan Regia, or DMHA, are powerful stimulants that give heightened focus and increase energy and appetite suppression. These will typically consist of yohimbine or alpha yohimbine to increase body temperature and blood flow.  These high-stim pre-workouts are only for some but if you are looking for one our best seller is Fanum Wild at Fitness Society Supplements in Melbourne, Florida.

Starter Pre-Workout

Alpha Supps Pre and Sweat Ethics Pwr’d Up are two great starter pre-workouts.

  • Alpha Supps is a mildly dosed pre-workout with nothing too crazy about 300mg of caffeine, a well round pump profile, and a lower dose of beta-alanine, so you don't get too much of the tingles
  • Pwr’d Up Pre-Workout is one of the only pre-workouts without any beta-alanine. So zero tingles. Great pump profile and mild stimulants once again.

Both are great intro pre-workouts to start with.If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out. Next up in the 2023 Supplements Buyers Guide is recovery.

Recovery

Recovery is super important. There are a few things we need to recover after a long hard workout. First off, you will be dehydrated from sweating and exerting the body. But your not just sweating out water. You're also sweating out electrolytes, and you'll need to replace them. My favorite supplement to replenish and rehydrate after a hard workout is Hydrate’d from Sweat Ethic. A simple but effective formula, and it also comes with 60 servings.

Next, You’ve torn your muscles up in the gym, so you’ll want something to repair them quickly. Yes, a post-workout meal is great. I’d recommend it within 30 minutes of ending your training. A fast recovery solution would be BCAA & EAA drinks, which can be packed in one powder, and some even have hydration in the formula.

 How does BCAA’s Work?

BCAA & EAAs are broken-down proteins that can get through the digestion process more quickly. Therefore, bringing you the recovery you need faster. These great flavorful drinks are refreshing after or during a workout. They are highly effective in fighting off the soreness after the gym and will keep you training longer and recovering quicker. This wraps up my 2023 Supplement Buyers guide. I hope it gave you insight into some tremendous up-and-coming supplement brands and new ideas to reach your fitness goals in 2023. Thank you for reading, and like always, reach out if you have any questions!
